Monolith Music Festival 2009 Wrap-Up: Caitlin Rose

I got a chance to interview Caitlin prior to her set, and I'm glad I did, because it gave me deeper insight to her music. I even chatted a little bit with her after the interview and before the show and got to know her a minute amount, which also helped to understand the depth of the songs Caitlin performed. Caitlin is just about the sweetest person I had the opportunity to talk to during the festival, and I can safely say this comes through in her songs. Her angelic voice with a bit of a country twang swam over the crowd cheering up and warming even the wettest and most soaked of the rained-upon audience. Caitin's jokes and jabs were welcoming and engaging, making anyone who heard her music an instant fan. Sounds a little cheesy, I know, but I liked the set a bunch, and I suppose that's all there is to it.
